Job Description :
We are looking for a reliable and responsible Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver in Fairfield, CA , to transport clients safely to and from medical appointments. This is mainly wheelchair transportation . This role is essential in ensuring clients receive timely, safe, and comfortable transportation, making a meaningful impact in the community.
Responsibilities :
- Provide safe, timely transportation for clients to medical appointments.
- Ensure client safety and comfort during transport and assist clients with mobility as needed.
- Follow traffic laws and company protocols for safety and efficiency.
- Use navigation software to optimize routes and maintain effective communication with dispatch.
- Conduct basic vehicle checks and keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained.
Requirements :
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Clean driving record (background and drug test required )
- Dependable, quick-thinking, and comfortable handling unexpected situations.
- Proficient in using GPS and new software.
- Sharp-minded, attentive, and able to maintain focus.
- This position is subject to random drug and alcohol testing as mandated by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT). Compliance with DOT regulations is a condition of employment. Candidates must be willing to participate in pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing as required.
Compensation : $20.00hr
