Job Summary

We are looking for individuals to join our client’s team as Registered Dietitian. You should be a clinically oriented Registered Dietitian with experience of providing direct nutritional care in a healthcare setting. Comfortable assessing patients, reviewing medical records and laboratory data, communicating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, and educating patients and families.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong communication, organization, documentation, attention to detail, and the ability to manage patient caseloads accurately and within required timelines.

Job Description

• Screen and assess patients based on level of care and determine nutritional needs/status.
• Provide nutritional follow-up and ongoing patient care.
• Interview patients/families regarding food habits and preferences.
• Review and interpret laboratory, physical, and social information relevant to nutrition care.
• Provide nutrition education to patients/residents and families.
• Document diet instructions, education, and patient understanding in the medical record.
• Monitor and educate patients regarding food/drug interactions.
• Consult with physicians regarding appropriate diet modifications.
• Modify patient menus as needed.
• Provide nutritional care across different populations and disease states.
• Participate in performance improvement activities.
• Act as a member of the interdisciplinary care team.

Skills Required

• Minimum 1 year of experience required; 2 years preferred
• Clinical nutrition assessment and patient education experience
• Experience in Long Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH) and/or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) environments.
• Experience with PointClickCare, SigmaCare, MDS 3.0, or similar electronic medical charting systems.
• Experience with electronic menu systems such as CBORD, NetMenu, or GeriMenu.
• Experience working with patients from diverse populations and disease states.
• Experience participating in interdisciplinary teams and performance improvement activities.

Education/Training/Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; graduate of an accredited college/university with a degree in Dietetics or Foods and Nutrition.
• Active Registered Dietitian (CDR) credential with Primary Source Verification.

Preferred:

• Master’s degree
• AHA BLS certification

Additional Requirements

• Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (1 hour of lunch)
• Alternate weekends per the facility needs

  Pay Rate

• $48- $56 per hour, based on experience, skills, and market factors
